Slenda Chan, President

Ms. Chan’s career includes extensive experience in the hospitality and real estate marketing fields and is the founder of Asia America Equity Exchange (AAEE) and owns Atlantic International Group (AIG), which provides international real estate sales and marketing services for U.S. real estate projects to major Asian markets, and provides marketing and planning consultancy for development projects in Asia. Her work includes the master planning consulting for the 2.5 Square Kilometer Shanghai Formula One Speedway Phase Two Development and Shanghai Daning Lingshi Park redevelopment project.

Ms. Chan has been a big advocate of international trade and cultural exchanges between China and the Americas; she had facilitated numerous trade and business opportunities between China and North America and had represented both Chinese clients in the North America market as well as represented American and European clients in the Asia markets. She has organized several trade missions to China, including both government and business missions from Florida; as well as facilitated many incoming trade missions from China.

Ms. Chan holds a B.S. in Hospitality and Marketing and later an Executive MBA from Florida International University. She is currently on the FIU-EMBA (Executive MBA) Board of Advisors. The South Florida Business Journal recognized her as the “2007 ULTIMATE CEO” of Miami.

Jia Mao,Vice President of China Operations

 

Mr. Mao is the co-founder of Asia America Equity Exchange (AAEE) and has many years of experience in marketing and management, macro industry development, geo-political assessment, and consultancy service. He has also been highly involved with media and culture development. With his familiarity of the governing and administration systems, coupled with a comprehensive insight into the economic and political systems in China, Mr. Mao has an extensive network of contacts in the region.

Mr. Mao has gained a strong reputation as a visionary for business development opportunities in both local and global markets. He is highly skilled in synthesizing strategy and analysis, planning, organizing, and negotiating.

He spent three years working in international news editing at Xinhua News Agency of China, and eight years in program production at the World Service of BBC and BBC-TV. Mr. Mao was the former Chief Representative in China for Jane’s Information Group, and the former Executive President of Beyond Media Corporation. Mr. Mao holds a B.A. in Literature from Peking University and a Masters of Philosophy in Journalism from Wales University.

 

Steven Burks,Vice President of Hospitality

Mr. Burks has over 20 years of experience in hospitality, and fractional ownership ventures. He is an expert in planning, designing, and executing profitable marketing strategies with leading world-class vacation ownership brands.

He has served in a variety of capacities, from Vice President of Sales and Marketing to President, with these industry organizations. Each role increased his reputation for maximizing distribution channels and products through his team-centered management approach. His talents are best seen in his creativity, ability to create innovative partnerships, and in his high energy. He has held key executive roles with some of the leading brands in the hospitality industry, including ITT/Sheraton, Bluegreen Resorts/Great Vacation Destinations, Disney Development, Marriott Vacation Club, and Ritz Carlton Club. He developed these brands to a distribution of over $10 billion in timeshare and fractional ownership sales in most of their top destinations.

Dedicated to community service, Mr. Burks has been a member of the Board of Directors for Florida Children's Hospital, a member of the Committee of Change for Kids in central Florida, and a volunteer for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.

Mr. Burks studied Business Administration at Delaware Community College in Pennsylvania. He completed a Leadership Development program at Gallup University in Nebraska, and participated in the Aspen Institute Business Leadership Development program.

David J. Holt Vice, President of Global Sourcing and Trading

Having managed over 2000 employees, Mr. Holt was the Senior Vice President of ABC Distributing, Inc., one of the largest private mail order companies in the United States. During his 28 years with ABC Distributing, from 1977-2005, Mr. Holt built the infrastructure that allowed the company to grow from $15 million to over $600 million in annual sales. In 1999, he selected the site and managed the oversight of the single largest distribution center in Florida, a one million square foot, state-of-the-art distribution facility.

Mr. Holt has develop global relationships for importing and exporting of products and distribution services since the early 80's and has launch and co-founded several diverse companies since 2005 including DDU Express Inc., a national delivery service company, PacNet Inc., one of the largest packaging supply services operations in South Florida, Bridgepoint Ventures, LLC an International real estate investment company, Golden Edibles LLC a gourmet chocolate company that provides hand crafted specialty products for major on-line and retail Fortune 500 companies, as well as Uboxes LLC a national Internet packaging and moving supply company that is the currently the number source for on-line moving kits in the US.

Hamid Hakimi, Vice President of International Project Development

Mr. Hakimi is CEO and Founder of Parsian Nour Group, a multinational developer and design company with many large construction projects to its name. He has over 35 years of combined experience in construction, hospitality, finance and real estate and has held many consulting positions in finance and construction of large commercial projects for private sector as well as municipalities.

Mr. Hakimi has previously held management positions in BridgePoint Ventures and Ponasa Group and has overseen the acquisition of nearly $500M as manager and Broker of Record in Ascent Acquisition pre-construction sales for landmark projects such as Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Pinnacle. His hospitality industry experience started in early 1980’s in New York Hilton and expanded to boutique hotels such as Mutiny in Coral Gables, FL and Adrian Hotel, South Beach, FL.

Mr. Hakimi founded Parsian Nour Group, which is a consortium of four major design and construction companies with a combined experience of well over a century in diverse projects from Football Stadium to the construction of International Earthquake and Seismology Complex and from Design of a 1,000 room 5 Star Hotel to the design of a 10,000 room residential complex in Soleymanieh, Iraq. Currently he is working with affiliates in Madrid, Paris and Munich as well as establishing a new office in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Mr. Hakimi holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Commercial College of Rasht and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Florida International University and speaks fluent English, Persian, Turkish, Azeri and basic comprehension of Spanish language.
